		Dear Friends,

It has taken me a while to update the webpage as 2009 has definitely been a bit of a tough year. I know many of you are suffering as well so we hope that this note finds you healthy, happy and prosperous.

This year we raised an incredible $5,300.00 for the Calumet Area Humane Society, thank you so much for your continued support!

On Wednesday, October 14, 2009 my beloved Penelope joined my parents in another dimension. My love Penelope was the reason you all have Auntie Barbara’s and is responsible for my success. I cannot say I am dealing with this very well. Some of you have noticed, others have not and until now have not been able to talk much about it. I am struggling as she was my soul mate, companion, and best friend. I am finding very little joy in my life right now but will continue to look for a bright spot.

I appreciate your support during this trying year, hope that you will continue to travel and bring your furry friends to us for their care. We have our fingers crossed that 2010 will bring more sunshine for all!

Thanks,
Auntie Barbara & Penelope (in spirit).</summary>

		Dear Friends,

Hopefully you have notice that our website is growing up and looking good. After all it was about 12 years old. I apologize for it taking me so long and for to some of you who might notice pictures of your friends are no longer there. We also ask that you begin to check our website periodically for updates and what is happening here! I have also added a contact e-mail site, be patient I do not live in front of a computer, the doggies always come first. I also will not except any reservations on this e-mail you still have to pick up the phone and give me a call, sorry but I like talking to you!

The economy is still hitting everybody hard but we are trying to hang in there, we really appreciate all your support and continued referrals after all these years.

As many of you know I lost my beloved Penelope after 14 1/2 years last year. It really took it’s toll on me. As all dog lovers know it is just like loosing a member of your family. I waited quite a while thinking that maybe I would not get another friend just take care of yours, but in March 2010 Fiona Louise “Fi” came my way as a 8 week old rescue pup. Auntie Barbara forgot what it is to have a puppy after all this time so I have a new respect for all of you. Pictures of “p” & “fi”. Coming by e-mail!

Every year Auntie Barbara’s does a big fund raiser for the Calumet Humane Society. Last year we raised over $5300.00 thanks so much. They will be doing their Pet Fair on June 26, 2010 at Wicker Park and you are welcome to send donations directly to them.

This year I decided to go a different route and will be sending you all off a letter of information. Being this far south I am on the line with Newton County. In May the Newton County Animal Shelter burned badly. Blessed be they got all the animals out and Jasper County took them all in. Being that they are non-profit and being so rural they are always struggling along. This year I am going to focus my fund drive to them. I hope that you will continue to support me in this years drive. I know a lot of you like to donate goods, at this time they cannot except them as they have no place to put them. Please look forward to my letter and we appreciate your continued support in this tough economy.

Thanks,
Auntie Barbara, Fiona Louise, the Staff and Penelope (keeping watch).</summary>
